The public is advised to take early precautions against active weather conditions forecast. The advisory was issued by the Brunei Darussalam Meteorological Department as the country is in the monsoon transition phase which usually continues until the end of May.

Active weather conditions are forecast to occur, from the 13th of May evening until the 18th of May, with Showers, occasionally heavy and thundery expected to affect several areas of the country, with wind gust of up to 45 kilometres per hour during or near heavy and thundery showers. In Brunei waters, sea conditions are generally slight, below 1 metre. There is a high risk of flash floods, landslide, fallen trees and blown-off roofs during heavy showers and gusty condition. The public is advised to remain alert to the latest weather forecasts, advisories and warnings issued and make appropriate plans for the safety of all.
